We find practical answers
The role of the Scrum Master is a mystery to many. While the product owner is often seen as a new edition of the project manager and therefore has a right to exist, Scrum Masters often have to fight to get capacity for their actual tasks. This is because the role of a Scrum Master - which does not exist in this form in the classic project environment - encompasses far more than the supervision of agile events.
Google searches provide numerous descriptions of Scrum Master activities, but these are often very abstract and difficult to apply to day-to-day work (see scrum.org or scrum-events.de).
As we have already been involved in many projects in the role of Scrum Master or have been able to support Scrum Masters in the role of Agile Coach, we have added our own experiences to the official descriptions. Our overview poster ‘What does a Scrum Master do all day?’ provides practical answers to precisely this question, which is so frequently asked in an agile context.
Behind each sub-area of this role are numerous tools and application examples that support the Scrum Master in successfully carrying out their tasks. The requirements for Scrum Masters can vary depending on the organisational context and role descriptions. With our agile coaching offer, we support the identification of suitable approaches and strengthen Scrum Masters in their role as agile enablers.
