I. Rollout management for a web application

Scope of commission

As part of the assignment, LEITWERK Consulting was commissioned with the rollout management of new features of a further developed OEM aftersales platform in existing markets. At the same time, our experts were tasked with driving and monitoring the connection to new markets.

Initial situation

The platform serves as a central information and sales platform for the wheel and tyre business. In order to assert itself on the market against other providers, the platform must be further developed and improved with regard to dealer requirements. The country-specific conditions had to be taken into account. New markets also needed to be connected to the web application.

Solution approach

With structured requirements management and the resulting IT assignments, a clear roadmap for the future was developed to ensure the platform's competitiveness.

Results

The necessary processes were set up more efficiently and clearly defined. As a result, the requirements could be implemented more quickly and reliably. Retailers were able to benefit from the numerous features that were rolled out and the utilisation rate was increased. This prevented them from leaving for the competition. A clear connection process also ensures that additional stores can be connected to the system quickly.

II Rollout of a digital service platform

Scope of commission

As part of the assignment, our team of four experienced LEITWERK consultants supported our client's team from the automotive industry. The team was made up of more than 50 participants and was tasked with implementing the digitalisation strategy.

Initial situation

Our client commissioned us to implement the project ‘Digitalisation of service consulting & online appointment scheduling’ as a follow-up project to a previously successfully implemented project. The project makes a significant contribution to the implementation of the aftersales strategy.

Solution approach

Our consultants set up a comprehensive rollout process with the aim of replacing all legacy systems and also introducing a scheduling system. Thorough preparation of the market launch, the introduction of agile methods and continuous success and implementation reporting were the key to success.

Results

In coordination with the central stakeholders, the systems were implemented on time in 32 markets. Furthermore, an increase in utilisation of the systems was achieved. Our extensive experience in (agile) project management combined with in-depth market knowledge contributed to the success of the project.

III Rollout and migration of virtual desktops to a new operating system

Scope of commission

As part of the assignment, our team of two experienced LEITWERK consultants supported our client's team from the financial sector and with more than 50 participants in the changeover to a new operating system.

Initial situation

Our customer was faced with the challenge of updating its operating system and all Office products on all virtual desktops. In order to ensure continued support and security updates, the operating system was to be switched to Windows 10 and Office 2016 throughout the company.

Solution approach

Our consultants worked closely with the client to define holistic processes that ranged from initial contact with organisational units and various quality gates to ensure technical requirements through to post-migration support and incident handling.

Results

LEITWERK Consulting was responsible for the entire process across five organisational units and converted all systems to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
